Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close activities. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, analyzing capital-related transactions, and producing financial information used for operational and financial decision-making. The individual in this role will perform general ledger reconciliations, process accounting entries associated with fixed assets, collaborate with internal departments on project-related expenditures, and assist with audit and forecasting requirements. Success in this position requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities independently. What You'll Do: Compile and review financial information associated with fixed assets and capital expenditures. Generate journal entries related to depreciation, asset movements, and disposals while ensuring timely processing. Complete account reconciliations as part of the monthly close cycle and investigate variances as needed. Produce reporting and analysis tied to capital spending activity and asset management. Partner with operational teams to evaluate and classify project costs and construction-related expenditures. Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives by providing reliable financial data and analysis. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation required for internal and external audits. Coordinate project requests while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline. Previous experience in accounting, auditing, or a comparable financial environment preferred. Strong Excel capabilities, including the ability to work efficiently with large volumes of data. Ability to communicate effectively with professionals at multiple organizational levels. Self-directed work habits with the capacity to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
