Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Location: Birmingham, AL (Onsite) Our client is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day to day accounting functions of the organization and contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting. The staff accountant will assist in month-end close duties, processing payables and receivables for payment accurately and on time. They are looking for an early career accountant who is looking to grow their career. Key Responsibilities General Ledger and Month End Close: Assist with maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts. Analytical review of financial statements. Assist with month-end and year end close activities. Assist with customer invoicing and monitor outstanding receivables. Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules. Participate in process improvements an system updates. Support preparation of budgeting and forecasting. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. 1+ years of accounting experience Solid understanding of GAAP Strong communication and ability to interact with customers and management.
