Trade Compliance Specialist

If you’re looking for another corporate trade compliance position where you’re responsible for only one piece of the process, this probably isn’t the opportunity for you. This role is for someone who wants to build, influence, and own a Trade Compliance program inside a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer. You’ll work directly with leadership and become the site’s Trade Compliance subject matter expert, helping shape everything from import and export compliance to ITAR controls, internal audits, classifications, licensing, training, and process improvement. You’ll have visibility across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Purchasing, and executive leadership. The company is experiencing significant growth and investing heavily in its future. What You’ll Be Doing Own and continually improve the site’s Trade Compliance program. Support ITAR, EAR, CBP, import and export compliance activities. Manage HTS and ECCN classifications, country of origin, and trade master data. Support export licensing, authorizations, exemptions, and regulatory reporting. Conduct internal audits, investigations, and corrective actions. Develop procedures, training, and compliance best practices. Partner with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and leadership to ensure compliance is built into daily operations. Help support future defense initiatives and expanding regulatory requirements. Skills Preferred 5+ years of Trade Compliance experience. Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, CBP, HTS, and ECCN classifications. Experience within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment. Experience with export licensing and import compliance. Someone who enjoys building processes, solving problems, and working cross functionally. Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR.
