CNC Swiss Screw Machinist (2nd Shift)

Position SummaryITT Micro-Mode is seeking a Swiss Screw Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team in El Cajon, CA. This role is responsible for operating Citizen K16 Swiss-style CNC machines to produce small, high-precision components for business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Swiss-type lathes, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures to ensure consistent part quality and production efficiency.Essential ResponsibilitiesOperate Citizen K16 Swiss-style CNC machines to manufacture precision components.Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet tight tolerances and specifications.Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, indicators) and document results.Follow setup instructions, work orders, and blueprints to ensure accurate production.Perform basic machine adjustments and offsets as needed to maintain part quality.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and 5S standards.Communicate with setup personnel, programmers, and quality inspectors to resolve production issues.Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.Participate in continuous improvement efforts and support Lean manufacturing initiatives.Other duties as assigned.Position RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.3+ years of CNC machining experience, with at least 1+ years operating Swiss-style CNC machines.Experience with Citizen K16 machines strongly preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Familiarity with CNC controls and machine interface operations.Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.Willingness to work flexible shifts or overtime as needed.Equal Pay Act StatementWe aim to pay our 'ITT'ers' fairly and competitively in the locations that they live and work.
