The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in grades 5-8, collaborate with general education staff, and ensure compliance with all special education requirements. The ideal candidate will foster academic growth, social-emotional development, and student independence while maintaining strong partnerships with families and colleagues. Qualifications Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License Knowledge of Ohio special education laws, procedures, and compliance requirements Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies for diverse learners Experience working with middle school students preferred Successful completion of all required background checks Essential Responsibilities Provide direct instruction and intervention services to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and progress Collaborate with general education teachers to support student achievement and inclusion Participate in evaluation team meetings, annual reviews, and other special education processes Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and related service providers regarding student progress and needs Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development within the school environment Position Type: Full-time Contact Information
