Site Superintendent I

Schneider Electric has the opportunity for a Site Superintendent in Texas or New Mexico.The Site Superintendent I is responsible for the scheduling, monitoring and controlling of all work of site personnel, equipment and subcontractors to achieve the objectives of the project. S/he works closely with the Project Manager to execute the project plan and achieve maximum performance in an efficient manner. The Site Superintendent II is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship for installed scope of work within the execution of the project schedule, while ensure safe working practices in accordance with the Schneider Electric safety policy. What will you do:Manage project site safety for internal and subcontract personnelManage subcontractors on all facets of their work and personnelManage the installed quality of mechanical, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and roofing systemsMaintain all project quality assurance documents in accordance with Schneider Electric quality policyManage installation scheduleManage Project Site logistics and customer coordinationProvide information to Project Manager to update Project Management Information SystemBuild and maintain good relationships with inspectors, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives connected with the project. Participating in project coordination meetingsUnderstand basic refrigeration Systems and HVAC systemsPrepare customer-training manuals and provide customized training to customers as neededMay participate in field audits and related analysis and results and performance assurance of installed systemsWhat will make you successful:Two-year degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experience preferred.This role requires the ability to demonstrate experience and independent responsibility with high confidence in construction management field.Natural problem solver and active learner requiredStrong communication (written and verbal) and project management/organization skills requiredClear understanding of HVAC, electrical systems and control systems requiredAbility to understand HVAC drawings, electrical drawings, scope of work documents and schematics requiredProficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and MS Project requiredStrong basic math skills requiredAbility to thoroughly understand and follow plans and specifications in the construction of a project preferredPassionate about customer service and team success requiredClear ability to adjust to changes and adapt and overcome requiredTravel:Ability to travel greater than 75% to project sites required. Normal work schedule is Mon-Thurs/Fri depending on project requirements. Special project circumstances may require additional working hours on weekends; however, this is typically scheduled in advance.Background Component:Due to the customer for this work and the requirement of being onsite, there is an additional background check component that must be passed.
