Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Machinist Level III in Carlsbad, NM. As a CNC Machinist Level III you will:

• Some limited programming, setup, and operate multi axis CNC Lathes and up to 5 axis mill.
• Select the proper tooling needed for the job at hand by skill or setup sheet.
• Run production and/or prototype parts.
• Trouble shoot problems of parts being manufactured and find solutions to correct the problems.
• Inspect one-off and multiple-piece orders to meet customer print requirements (IPI's).
• Help develop lower-level machinists.
• Run multiple machines.
• Proficient using measuring equipment, micrometers, calipers, depth mic, bore gages, indicators etc.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Must possess the ability to safely operate, understand and set up many pieces of CNC equipment along with other manual pieces of equipment.
• Be able to read and understand drawings, GD&T
• Apply good communication skills to relay to other machinists and managers the status of current jobs, problems, and any other pertinent work information.
• Job hour estimate.
• Fixture creation. [Not required but preferred.]
• Good problem-solving skills.

• Basic understanding of G and M codes.
• Experience in MasterCam. [Not required but preferred.]
• Good knowledge of GD&T.
• General math skills. Including basic trigonometry.
• High school diploma or GED

Pay Rate:

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
