Accountant

Soni Resources is assisting a client in Red Oak, TX in their search for a Real Estate Accountant ! This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a growing organization seeking an accounting professional with strong full-cycle accounting experience and the ability to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced environment. Commercial real estate accounting experience is highly preferred. Responsibilities Perform full-cycle accounting including GL maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close Manage multi-entity accounting processes while ensuring accuracy across all business units Prepare and review schedules related to amortization, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and rent collections Support financial reporting activities and assist with variance analysis Maintain organized and accurate documentation for audits and internal controls Collaborate with the Controller and accounting team to improve processes and efficiencies Utilize advanced Excel functions including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience at the Staff or Senior level Strong experience with GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close Multi-entity accounting experience required Commercial real estate rental accounting experience highly preferred Proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables Experience with iRely is a plus Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment Compensation $36-43/hour Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
