Instrumentation Technician (Maintenance)

Your potential is our inspiration. Where You’ll Make a Difference Operate and maintain process equipment across multiple areas, with an initial focus on small‑scale fermentation process laboratories. Troubleshoot and repair control loops (0–10volts direct current and 4–20milliamp), electrical and electronic systems, and process instrumentation including load cells, pH, temperature, agitation, and pressure transmitters. Use diagnostic tools such as digital volt meters (DVMs), ohm meters, oscilloscopes, and current loop analyzers. Interpret and work from piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and electrical blueprints for process equipment. Perform preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of process equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and site procedures. Provide clear, timely, and professional communication to internal customers and stakeholders. Maintain accurate documentation and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and bills of materials (BOMs). Support operational needs by working Monday to Friday, 7:00AM – 4:00PM, with flexibility to cover alternative shifts (10:30AM – 6:30PM) for approximately 30 days, 2–3times per year, as business needs require. What Makes You the Right Fit 1–3years of experience working with process equipment, building maintenance, or equivalent technical training. Associate degree (AA/AS) in Electrical, Electronic, and/or Instrumentation Technologies, or equivalent technical competency. Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Proficiency with basic mechanical systems, standard hand tools, and safety practices. Ability to lift up to30pounds and perform hands‑on technical work. Flexibility to work alternative shifts, overtime, weekends, and participate in an emergency on‑call rotation as required by business needs. How Would You Stand Out? Exposure to programmable logic controller (PLC) platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, or GE Fanuc. Familiarity with human‑machine interface (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, including Intouch, WINcc, Inductive Automation, or ControlLogix.
