Senior Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician

Ever-Green Energy is looking for a team member to maintain, repair, calibrate, install, and troubleshoot all plant controls/measurement equipment: (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and electromechanical) to ensure full and efficient operation of the plants. Performs the responsibilities as a Senior I&C position for the company, in accordance with company standards. Minimum Requirements To Be Successful In This Role BAS/BMS, PLC, HMI and Instrumentation and Control formal training. 35 years’ experience performing comparable duties in a similar industrial plant setting. Strong in Instrumentation and Control. Valid driver’s license required and clear driving record. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Software and Database Maintenance: Daily alarm monitoring, perform backups of control logic, database files, and graphics. Software and Patching, schedule and setpoint reviews.
2. Physical Controller Maintenance: hardware inspections, tighten connections, battery replacement, and cleaning.
3. Field Device Maintenance: Override verifications, perform troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration and testing on all plant control/measurement equipment including wiring. Repair and replace faulty control/measurement equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
4. Determine the reason for unexpected malfunctions or occurrences in plant operations and take appropriate action to correct any electrical and/or instrumentation problems involved.
5. Help maintain a testing laboratory and test/repair all plant control and measurement equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant.
6. Ensure parts for plant control and measurement equipment and consumables are ordered so replacements are available as needed.
7. Perform major and minor installation of equipment.
8. Respond to off‑hour calls for plant emergencies.
9. Lead or assist vendors, as required, in conducting predictive and preventive maintenance tests and diagnostics as directed by the General Manager or Plant Superintendent.
10. 10. Review plant modifications and projects, as requested, to ensure compatibility with existing plant and conformance with plant requirements and standards.
11. 11. Layout and plan control/measurement installations and other electrical work and coordinate work with engineering, operations and other maintenance disciplines.
12. 12. Support plant operations, including operating the Thermal Plant, as assigned by the Plant Superintendent or General Manager.
13. 13. Perform other tasks as directed.

Must be capable of maneuvering throughout industrial facilities such as energy plants and building HVAC mechanical rooms, etc. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position involves working in a steam, hot water, and/or chilled water plant and/or its distribution system. While performing job duties, employees may occasionally encounter potential hazards, including fumes, airborne particles, high-pressure steam in piping or equipment, both hot and cold temperatures, and hazards associated with moving machinery. The work environment's noise level typically ranges from moderate to loud. Other potential hazards common to heating and cooling plants may include confined spaces, slippery surfaces, rotating equipment, chemical handling (e.g., water treatment chemicals), and burns. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and physical controls are in place as needed to mitigate these risks. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The hourly range for this position is: $52.00 to $58.50. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
