Lab Assistant

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for second shift work at a clinical laboratory in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The role involves receiving, preparing, and processing clinical specimens while maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information into lab systems
• Perform equipment maintenance checks and troubleshoot specimen-related issues
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish test bench supplies
• Complete administrative record logs and follow all standard operating procedures

Requirements

• Six months or more phlebotomy or clinical laboratory work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
