Job Title: Die Cutter Operator Job Description

The Die Cutter Operator sets up, operates, and maintains die-cutting and folding/gluing equipment to produce high-quality finished products. This role handles multiple changeovers per day, manages material loading and unloading, and ensures that all items meet strict quality and dimensional standards while maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.

• Operate all die-cutting and folding/gluing equipment in accordance with production requirements and safety procedures.
• Perform multiple machine set-ups and changeovers per day based on the production schedule.
• Load and unload materials onto machines, including lifting up to 50 pounds safely and efficiently.
• Stack, box, label, and move finished items using a pallet jack to designated areas.
• Conduct quality checks to verify product dimensions, accuracy, and the absence of material defects.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines, including lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and part replacement as needed.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic operating issues to minimize downtime.
• Follow established production processes and documentation to ensure consistent output and on-time delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production team members and other departments to support smooth workflow and resolve issues quickly.

• 2+ years of experience as a die-cut and folder/gluer operator preferred.
• 1+ year of machine set-up experience required, including frequent changeovers.
• Hands-on experience with die cutting equipment and folder/gluer machines.
• Experience operating production or printing machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine operating issues and make basic adjustments.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform material handling tasks safely.
• Attention to detail and commitment to conducting accurate quality checks.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and production schedules.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability, and consistent production output.

• Experience with specific die-cut equipment such as the 760 model is preferred.
• Familiarity with changeover processes on printing or converting machines.
• Basic understanding of preventative maintenance practices for production equipment.
• Comfort using pallet jacks and other basic material handling tools.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small production team.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with customer service, design, and other office-based teams.

This is a full-time role with a consistent schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The facility is climate-controlled, open, clean, and has minimal noise, creating a comfortable and focused working atmosphere. The production team consists of about seven people within a building of approximately 32 employees, including substantial office space for customer service, designers, finance, and sales. The environment supports close collaboration between production and office staff while maintaining an organized and professional workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
