We have been a leading manufacturer of seals and rubber products since 1955. Capabilities include i n-house tool shop and mold design for quick prototyping of injection, compression and transfer tools, compound development and material test lab with over 1000 existing formulations.

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join our growing tool room team. This position is ideal for a highly detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, mold assembly, tool refinement, and working to extremely tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mold building, toolmaking, manual machining equipment, CNC equipment, and precision inspection tools. Job Details

What You'll Be Doing
Precision Tooling & Mold Assembly

• Assemble, fit, and finish molds, dies, tools, gauges, and related tooling
• Perform mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
• Work directly from 2D and 3D CAD drawings and engineering prints
• Perform final fitting, refinement, and precision adjustments to tooling components
• Maintain micron-level tolerances and high-quality workmanship standards

Machining & Tool Room Operations

• Operate manual machining equipment including:

Bridgeport Mills
Surface Grinders
Tool Grinders
Drill Presses
Cut-Off Saws

• Operate CNC mills and lathes
• Perform drilling, tapping, chamfering, deburring, and plate straightening
• Support ongoing tool room and machine shop operations

Inspection & Quality

• Operate CMM equipment for dimensional verification
• Utilize precision measuring equipment including:

Micrometers
Calipers
Shadowgraphs
Other inspection instruments

• Perform and document in-process inspections
• Verify tooling meets engineering and quality specifications

Qualifications
Required

• Technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent toolmaking experience
• Experience working in a machine shop, mold shop, or precision manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints
• Strong understanding of machining practices and precision measurement
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred

• Mold building, mold repair, or mold maintenance experience
• CNC machining experience
• CMM experience
• Familiarity with Mastercam
• Experience working with tight-tolerance precision components
