Blood Draw SpecialistThis is a temporary job opportunity with potential for permanent placement.Position: Blood Draw SpecialistLocation: Tulsa OKSchedule: 8:30AM to 5PM M-FProjected duration: 3 months with possibility for permanent hireBenefits includedSummary: A key role of a phlebotomist is to support in performing assigned tasks, troubleshooting, training, and suggesting workflow improvements.Job Responsibilities:Conducting blood draws, labeling samples, centrifuging specimens, maintaining records, updating patient data, etc.Collecting and storing specimens following established protocols. Clearly explaining the venipuncture process and other specimen collections, demonstrating proper techniques. Understanding physicians’ orders completely.Matching requisition forms to specimen tubes, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens per test orders.Verifying test requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy. Packaging specimens for transport, storing samples appropriately, labeling accurately, and following transport protocols.Complying with OSHA and DEP regulations, attending trainings, answering calls, and relaying laboratory results.Minimum Requirements:Valid Phlebotomy certification as required. At least 6 months’ experience with venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience.
