Senior Network Security Engineer

Salary: $93,600 - 104,000 per year Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience managing and maintaining complex network security environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, FXOS, Palo Alto firewalls, and Panorama.
• In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewall concepts, including security zones and policy ordering, audit log search and sorting, address sets and negated addresses, user roles and tables, route-based policies, address books, and application traffic control.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE for VPN authentication, AAA, and policy creation, plus knowledge of routing protocols.
• Practical experience handling security incidents and planning mitigations.
• Good understanding of Symantec DLP and experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security (including antivirus, HIPS, and hard disk encryption), RSA SecurID, Cisco IronPort web and mail security gateways, Cisco ISE, and TACACS/AAA solutions.
• Understanding of F5 load balancers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to participate in review meetings and address concerns.
• Ability to conduct risk and impact analyses and identify dependencies on internal teams.
• Knowledge and experience with ITIL processes.

• Configure Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls and perform firewall audits, review access control lists, and update firewalls as needed.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure capable resources are available.
• Review and validate technical configuration changes to ensure quality.
• Work with Centers of Excellence resources to resolve technical issues before escalating them to equipment manufacturers.
• Identify and communicate risks and dependencies.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation.
• Collaborate with teams to manage the log management solution.
• Follow applicable regulations, quality standards, and best practices to support high-performance, scalable, and repeatable processes.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and investigate network security incidents using security platform reports, network traffic, log files, and automated alerts.
• Assess systems with vulnerability scanners and manual techniques to verify security settings and configurations.
