Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding school-based contract opportunity delivering vital social work services to students in supportive educational settings. You will address the academic, social, and emotional needs of children from kindergarten through fifth grade across three buildings, including both public and nonpublic schools. This full-time, onsite role runs from August 18, 2026, through May 15, 2027, with a manageable caseload of 43-48 students, fostering meaningful connections and measurable impact.

Desired Qualifications:

• Must hold approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker
• Proven experience in school-based social work, supporting students at the elementary or middle school level
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Adept at collaborating in multidisciplinary teams and advocating for student needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in grades K-5, facilitating individual and group interventions that promote positive social, emotional, and academic growth
• Partner with teachers and administrators to develop effective support plans and interventions
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress
• Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies
• Offer crisis intervention and consult on behavioral management
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with state and district guidelines
