Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age groups using standardized assessments combined with observational insights.
• Design tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused, individual speech therapy interventions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Engage in collaborative care with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and families on ways to support progress between therapy sessions.
• Take part in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Document all interactions and treatment plans meticulously according to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing learning and remain informed about advancements in the field through continuing education.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
