Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician Job Description

This role provides advanced technical support for the installation, troubleshooting, and improvement of automated and electronic equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

• Working under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor, the technician independently handles complex projects involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and PLC systems.
• Supporting continuous improvement and preventive maintenance initiatives on second shift (3 pm 11 pm).
• Typical work week is 45-50 hours/week
• can work as much OT as you'd like, double time on Sundays

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems to ensure reliable and safe operation of production equipment.
• Diagnose issues in hydraulics, pneumatics, I/O, motors, sensors, wiring, and related components, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Utilizing PLCs as a troubleshooting tool - to diagnose issues (programming will be done by controls team)
• Adjust robot paths and configure robotic vision systems, with a focus on ABB robots, to support accurate and repeatable operations.
• Support the launch of new equipment and retrofits by participating in installation, commissioning, testing, and validation activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance on automated and electronic equipment using CMMS software, following established schedules and procedures.
• Continuously improve preventive maintenance plans by analyzing equipment performance and failure trends and updating tasks and intervals.
• Respond quickly to production issues, identify root causes, and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain throughput.

• Familiarity with PLCs - utilizing them as a troubleshooting tool (do not need to program)
• Familiarity with robotics - ABB preferred
• Experience working in a fast paced work environment
• Maintenance and repair on automated machinery

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Holland,MI.
