The ideal person will be a team player with a drive to succeed and a willingness to help others. We are a company that takes pride in satisfying our customers, so candidates should be prepared to support our efforts with overtime work as needed.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProduce quality parts; inspecting and approving profiles to ensure they meet all manufacturing requirements.Inspect the quality of materials and alert the Production Supervisor or appropriate personnel of material issues and/or failures immediately.Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.Inspect the quality of the machinery and report equipment failures to the Maintenance Department.Ensure that all required shift paperwork is accurate and complete.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsStrong communication skills - written and verbal.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift, which may include: bending, twisting, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Ability to read a work order, use a tape measure, and preferred caliper/micrometer experience.Preferred Skills and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalentPrior extrusion experience is a plus but not required.Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times.Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.Company OverviewOut of our Elkhart, Indiana facility, Boyd has a fully dedicated and innovative team focused on providing highly engineered and patented total sealing system solutions to the Recreational Vehicle Industry.
