CNC Vertical Mill Machinist

MagTech is currently hiring for a CNC Machinist in Elkhart, IN at a percision machining job shop. Please apply below if you are interested and meet the qualifications below!

DIRECT HIRE - Benefits after 90 days

Starting Hourly Wages: $20-30 based on experience

Shift: 1st shift 6a-430p - 40-50 hour expected average schedule

Job Description:

Set-up, identify tools required and run jobs with minimal supervision.
Set work offsets, load programs, and touch off tools.
Understand purpose and functionality of component being machined.

Have own tools.
Lifting to 25 lbs.; heavier load sizes with assistance.
Perform equipment preventive maintenance
Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Understands, implements, and maintains the Company's quality policy in the performance of all duties and responsibilities

Experience with CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills, boring mills, and lathes preferred

Job Requirements:

Basic blueprint reading and GD&T.
High level experience in contour and manual machining: knowledge of clamping and cutting techniques; thorough understanding of speeds and feeds; understand material properties and be able to match equipment and techniques to various materials.
Able to use basic inspection equipment. (Micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges)

Understanding of N.C controller G and M codes, manual programming capable on mazak Mills
Knowledge of Master cam preferred or equivalent NC programming software.
Mechanical aptitude a plus
