Property Adjuster Inside Trainee Hybrid Northbrook, IL

Job Overview As a Moderate Inside Property Adjuster, you will virtually inspect damages, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and accurately. The role focuses heavily on water loss claims, requiring strong customer service, investigative, communication, negotiation, problem‑solving, and documentation skills. Job Responsibilities Interact with customers, contractors, and vendors via phone, email, text, and video chat. Perform virtual inspections, assess property damages, and determine coverage using Xactimate and other software. Prepare accurate estimates and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers, and claimants. Document all work in the claims system, ensuring timely and accurate records. Implement a customer‑first approach, communicating clearly and empathically while managing claim progress. Use critical thinking to solve problems efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Minimum 1+ year of customer service experience. Prior insurance or claims experience highly desired. Proficiency with Xactimate and virtual assessment tools. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual environment. Detail-oriented, organized, and focused on high‑quality claim resolutions. Residency within the posted location is mandatory. Schedule During Training – Hybrid: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am‑5:00pm; Tuesday & Thursday Work From Home 8:00am‑5:00pm. After Training – Same hybrid schedule with occasional weekend duty (monthly). Licensing Requirements Adjuster and/or appraiser licensure may be required. If mandated, you must secure the applicable license(s) within 60 days of hire. All candidates with active insurance licenses must terminate any existing appointments prior to onboarding.
