Aalis Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support a federal agency's financial management operations in a deadline-driven federal environment. The CFO will provide senior-level financial leadership, strategic guidance, and analytical oversight, while ensuring strong internal controls, accurate and high-quality financial reporting, and operational continuity across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and advisory support to senior agency leadership.
• Oversee budget execution, funds control, federal financial reporting, and reimbursable programs.
• Lead analysis of financial performance, risks, trends, and operational requirements.
• Develop decision-ready financial reports, briefings, and recommendations for executive leadership.
• Ensure financial assumptions, methodologies, data sources, and supporting analysis are clearly documented.
• Coordinate financial activities across multiple workstreams and ensure timely delivery of recurring requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, quality assurance, audit readiness, and financial management processes.
• Support cross-training and continuity of financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal financial management, information-security, and suitability requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of federal financial management experience.
• Bachelor's degree required
• Demonstrated experience providing financial leadership to senior/SES-level stakeholders.
• Strong experience with budget execution, federal reporting, funds control, and reimbursables.
• PMP, CPA, CGFM, or CDFM preferred.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring federal reporting deadlines.
