About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the senior financial leader, overseeing all financial operations that support the organization's multi-billion-dollar housing, community development, business lending, broadband, and neighborhood revitalization programs. The CFO will be responsible for leading financial strategy, portfolio management, capital planning, compliance, forecasting, and risk management to ensure the long-term financial stability and mission success of the organization. This role requires a strategic and forward-thinking financial executive with a strong background in housing finance, public finance, and capital markets. The successful candidate will be accountable for budgeting and accounting functions, maintaining strong credit ratings, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree and professional designation preferred. The role demands a leader with at least 10 years' of progressive financial leadership experience, including budget oversight for large public-sector or complex organizations. Essential skills include executive presence, exceptional communication, and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams. The CFO will be expected to have a proven track record in organizational leadership, change management, and the ability to work effectively across complex organizations. Experience in financial systems implementation, technology modernization, and a strong understanding of GAAP, accounting controls, and federal compliance is also required.
