Take the next step in your Speech-Language Pathology Assistant career with dynamic contract opportunities supporting students in the Houston Metro area. Multiple maternity leave assignments are available across various elementary and middle schools starting in early 2027, with durations extending likely through year-end. Dedicated, licensed SLPAs are needed to ensure uninterrupted, quality services for students while collaborating with established school teams.
Available assignments include:
- Mading ES + Lockhart ES (coverage beginning 2/1/27)
- Westbriar MS + Revere MS (coverage beginning 3/15/27)
- Kolter ES (coverage beginning 1/4/27)
- Sanchez ES + Southmayd ES (coverage beginning 1/18/27)
What you’ll bring:
- Active Texas SLPA license in good standing (must be ready to present screenshot upon application)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting as an SLPA
- Reliable, personal transportation with the ability to commute confidently to assigned campus(es) (locations vary—commute details must be pre-confirmed)
- Fully available for on-site work for the duration of the contract
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy services as prescribed in students’ IEPs under on-site supervision
- Collaborating with campus teams and licensed supervising SLPs
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation and session notes
- Supporting consistent therapy schedules and communications with families and staff
