We are proud to have become a shining example of what's possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.Work ShiftDay (United States of America)We offer competitive hourly pay with shift differential incentives.This role is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonusThis role can offer a competitive relocation assistance package for eligible candidatesA position with a Monday 2:30pm - 3:00am, Tuesday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, and every other Saturday and Sunday 2:30pm - 3:00am scheduleBenefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and moreAccess to Wellstar's CareerCare program for fully funded education and guided career progressionThe CT Technologist applies their expertise to deliver safe, high?quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Wellstar Douglas Hospital, in Douglasville, GATechnologists at Wellstar are respected clinical professionals and essential members of a collaborative care team.If you're looking for a place where you're supported and where your well?being, career growth, and voice truly matter, you'll find it here.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programExperienceMinimum 1 year experience in Radiology RequiredCertificationsARRT?R (Radiography)ARRT?CT – ARRT Computed TomographyBLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart AssociationCore ResponsibilitiesPerform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly.Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.Explain procedures, prep, and post?care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age?appropriate care throughout the visit.Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed).Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life?support equipment as required.Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor.Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
