As a Security Officer Driver Armed Enhanced Part Time in South Houston, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 11:30 PMTue04:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, surrounding property, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, checking for suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
• Support loss prevention and access control efforts by observing customer and employee activity, verifying authorized access, and following post orders for security-related incidents and/or escalations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
