About the Position

ID: 64367898 Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) Description: -Nashville General is moving towards an LDRP model whereas NICU travelers will be assisting with cross-training efforts and providing coverage, for Delivery/MB, while training takes place. This will be discussed during the interview.- Must have experience with L&D and the willingness to float to other units. If needed, travelers can be floated to any unit of the hospital as a sitter. -First week of orientation will be 7a-7p (3x12s)-Travelers must be comfortable with the prison population. This is a public hospital where there is a chance that the travelers will be caring for a incarcerated patient.-Req Certs: BLS, ACLS, CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI), NRP and STABLEAWHONN Advanced or Intermediate is highly preferred.-1 year exp required-1st time travelers and locals accepted at the same rate. Combined NICU and well-baby nursery. Special Procedures/Unit Details : For experienced travelers, experience attending deliveries preferred. If they don't have experience doing this, they must be willing to be trained for it at the facility.First time travelers are required to have strong experience as the baby nurse at deliveries.Experience with NICU II and well-baby nursery requiredThere are two nurses on duty at any given time. The nurse attending deliveries must be comfortable being the only caregiver in the event of an emergency while the other nurse cares for babies in the nursery. Special Equipment : **Req Certs: BLS, ACLS, CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI), NRP and STABLE.
