Social Media Manager

Position Summary Intex Recreation Corp. is seeking an experienced, creative, and data-driven Social Media Manager to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, community engagement, and revenue-generating social commerce initiatives through compelling content and innovative storytelling. The Social Media Manager will oversee content strategy, manage the social media calendar, lead a team of content professionals, collaborate across departments, and leverage analytics to continuously optimize performance. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative storyteller, strategic marketer, and performance analyst who understands how engaging content translates into measurable business growth. Success in this role is measured by creating highly engaging content that increases audience interaction and converts into measurable sales growth. What You’ll Do Lead the overall social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Develop platform-specific content strategies that align with product launches, seasonal campaigns, and business objectives. Identify trends, consumer behaviors, and platform opportunities that increase brand visibility. Create recurring content series and scalable content frameworks that strengthen brand consistency. Lead Content Creation Personally create high-impact content including TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts that establish creative direction for the team. Oversee the company's content calendar to ensure consistent daily publishing. Review, edit, and approve all social content prior to publication. Ensure all content reflects Intex's brand voice, visual standards, and marketing priorities. Transform product features into engaging, platform-native stories that resonate with consumers. Drive Social Commerce Performance Oversee all social commerce content supporting ecommerce and retail sales initiatives. Monitor campaign performance during launches and promotional events. Conduct A/B testing on creative assets, captions, music, publishing schedules, and calls-to-action. Identify high-performing content and quickly optimize or discontinue underperforming campaigns. Develop repeatable playbooks using insights from successful campaigns. Analyze Performance Track engagement, reach, conversions, and other key performance metrics. Deliver weekly and monthly reports highlighting campaign effectiveness and opportunities for improvement. Utilize analytics to make informed decisions that maximize audience growth and sales conversion. Lead and Develop the Social Media Team Manage the Live & Community Coordinator while partnering closely with the Commerce Coordinator. Provide coaching, creative feedback, and platform education to team members. Coordinate freelance creators and outside content partners from briefing through final approval. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate Across the Organization Partner with Sales, Product Development, Marketing, Creative, Customer Service, and Brand teams to align content with company initiatives. Support influencer partnerships, creator collaborations, and PR campaigns. Represent the social media team during cross-functional planning meetings. Help transform customer feedback and frequently asked questions into engaging educational content. Innovate and Stay Ahead Build relationships with platform representatives from TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Stay informed on emerging trends, algorithm updates, new platform features, and evolving best practices. Test innovative content formats and recommend scalable opportunities that keep Intex ahead of competitors. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of professional social media marketing experience with proven success managing brand accounts. Demonstrated expertise with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and short-form video content. Experience developing content strategies that drive engagement and measurable business results. Strong understanding of social commerce, platform algorithms, audience growth strategies, and analytics. Experience leading or mentoring creative teams. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Highly creative with exceptional attention to detail. Preferred Experience managing consumer products or lifestyle brands. Experience with influencer marketing and creator partnerships. Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, and social media management platforms. Experience working with ecommerce businesses and major retail brands. Photography and video editing experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar software. Occasional standing and movement during product photography, video shoots, and content production. Full-time onsite position based at our Long Beach, California headquarters. Fast-paced collaborative office environment. Occasional extended hours during major product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional events.
