The EA is a strategic partner and advisor to the business and technology teams providing proactive and holistic help in achieving their targeted outcomes including optimizing costs, mitigating risks and improving sustainability. This includes influencing the introduction of new and/or emerging technologies and architectures as well as expansion of existing platforms in support of business challenges, and target outcomes.The enterprise architect's responsibilities include improving the current technology system architecture, optimizing business operations, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The enterprise architect is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities.To be successful as an enterprise architect, one needs to be proven leader with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, should have demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically, should have excellent technical, and analytical. You should also have strong communication, and interpersonal skills.Enterprise Architect Responsibilities:Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with banking business goalsEnsure compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, OCC, Basel, SOX, GDPR where applicable)Lead architecture governance, including standards, policies, and design reviews across all technology domainsPartner with business leaders, risk, compliance, and IT teams to support digital transformation and modernization of legacy banking systemsDrive architecture for core banking platforms, payments systems, lending, and digital banking channelsOversee data architecture strategy, including data governance, privacy, and lineageEvaluate and recommend technologies with a focus on security, resiliency, and operational risk reductionSupport cloud adoption strategies while ensuring adherence to regulatory and security requirementsGuide integration strategies across on-prem and cloud systems (APIs, microservices, middleware)Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce technical debt, and enhance customer experienceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)10+ years of experience in IT, with significant experience in financial services or bankingProven experience in enterprise architecture within a regulated environmentStrong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)Deep understanding of core banking systems, payments, and financial productsExperience with risk management, cybersecurity, and regulatory complianceStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in regulated environmentsExcellent stakeholder management skills, including working with executives, regulators, and auditorsPreferredTOGAF certification or equivalentExperience with digital banking transformation initiativesFamiliarity with fintech integrations and open banking (APIs, PSD2 concepts)Knowledge of data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML in bankingExperience with DevSecOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelinesUnderstanding of vendor risk management and third-party integrationsCompensationThe expected annual salary for this position is between $250,000 and $280,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience.
