HVAC Supervisor

Facilities Maintenance – Virginia Beach, VA The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for an experienced HVAC Supervisor to lead a skilled team responsible for keeping our campus operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges, mentoring technicians, and taking pride in maintaining high-quality facilities. You’ll provide day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, and training for our HVAC Technicians and Mechanics while working alongside the HVAC Manager to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial HVAC and mechanical plumbing systems. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN’s Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 annually. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on a combination of education, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: * Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, plumbing systems, and preventive maintenance practices * Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain complex commercial HVAC systems * Strong knowledge of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, water treatment systems, and associated mechanical equipment * Knowledge of the operation, application, and safe use of tools and equipment used in facilities maintenance * Demonstrated leadership with the ability to coordinate work activities, provide technical direction, train staff, and foster a collaborative team environment * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

• Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• EPA Section 608 University Certification (or equivalent CFC certification)
• Journeyman or Master Mechanical License preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinker with the ability to analyze problems, make sound decisions,

and recommend effective solutions * Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish professional rapport with management, staff, vendors, contractors, and ministry partners * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a member of a team * Flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to changing needs, and perform well under pressure * Ability to respond to equipment failures and facility emergencies in a calm, professional, and solution-oriented manner * Ability to work additional hours and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed * Strong manual dexterity with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of commercial HVAC maintenance, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and working in confined spaces * Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN’s nonprofit Christian mission CBN is a global nonprofit ministry demonstrating the love of God by sharing the Gospel through digital content, traditional media, and humanitarian aid.
