Program Manager - Behavioral Health Urgent Care

Have had at least five (5) years of full‑time casework or therapy experience, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a substance use disorder or mental health setting, and one (1) year of experience working within acute care/crisis services. Be experienced and knowledgeable in current practices, including person‑centered planning, community-based services and supports for adults and families, crisis intervention, and transitional planning. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license. Have knowledge of co‑occurring disorders, the transtheoretical model, phases of recovery, and motivational interviewing/enhancement therapy; be knowledgeable with Dual Diagnosis capability for substance use and mental health programs. Be familiar with a variety of outcome measures for psychiatric and co‑occurring substance use, medical, and other disorders. Experience working with the criminal justice system is preferred. MCBAP Certification with CAADC and CCS is preferred. Essential Job Functions Demonstrate knowledge of diagnostic criteria for psychiatric and substance use disorders and treatment options. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the array of behavioral health and substance use disorder crisis services available within the community. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and knowledge of crisis intervention strategies. Manage all administrative and programmatic functions related to assigned programs. Enforce agency policies and procedures; develop new procedures to support the mission, vision, and values of Easterseals MORC. Develop and maintain protocols and toolkits, including behavioral health and substance use crisis intervention techniques for each discipline within the team. Conduct team meetings to review problem areas and develop solutions; review case records with subordinate staff to ensure quality. Assign, schedule, and appraise performance; hire and make recommendations regarding disciplinary action, discharge, pay increases, and/or promotions. Create and maintain staff schedules ensuring adequate coverage during Behavioral Health Urgent Care hours, including extended hours (some evenings and weekends). Identify stage of change and use interventions consistent with stage of treatment; assist staff in developing strength‑based, stage‑wise treatment‑matched crisis intervention plans; prevent unnecessary emergency department visits by ensuring the provision of evidence‑based services. Ensure individuals receiving Behavioral Health Urgent Care receive appropriate aftercare plans and follow‑up activities after the BHUC encounter. Oversee and deliver acute care/crisis intervention for a complex population of members in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team model. Provide effective supervision and leadership of clinical care within the interdisciplinary team, ensuring highest quality of care. Model and use the Spirit of Motivational Interviewing in all interactions with staff, individuals, and stakeholders. Provide outcome and strength‑based supervision to staff using a range of techniques to foster professional development and performance, develop skills, and increase individual outcomes. Assist staff in improving and updating professional skills by providing information such as pertinent conferences, seminars, new techniques, and current legislation affecting behavioral health and substance use disorder services; orient and develop new staff. Act as a liaison with other management team members, community agencies, advocacy groups, and other mental health and substance use providers. Identify, monitor, and conduct improvement strategies based on program outcome measurements, contractual and budget standards, licensing and accreditation standards for employees and programs; utilize outcome measurements in supervision, including developmental tools to improve staff performance. Provide support, education, and reinforce the use of prescribed medications to treat substance use and behavioral health disorders. Be knowledgeable of evidence‑based practices utilized within Easterseals MORC, particularly those employed in the Behavioral Health Urgent Care setting. Ensure full compliance with the development and monitoring of PIPs in accordance with the Supervision Policy. Meet monthly supervision/coaching requirements for all assigned staff, as defined by Supervision Guidelines. Complete annual performance evaluations for all staff. Demonstrate knowledge of trauma‑informed care principles; teach and ensure use of trauma‑informed care principles to the interdisciplinary treatment team. Support and assist individuals with trauma‑related issues. Participate in after‑hours on‑call as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
