The property is located in Central Maryland, with easy access to Baltimore and Washington, DC. Turf Valley Resort emphasizes teamwork, career growth, and a family-owned culture. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Coordination of information: Work with sales to ensure contracted event information is clear and detailed accurately. Coordinate with the hosted event’s contact to ensure smooth event flow. Provide customer service to event attendees and Resort guests. Ensure events operate smoothly through clear communication with the kitchen, banquet staff, Audio Visual department, vendors (band, DJ), and guests. Anticipate customer and property needs; may provide a supporting role across the resort as needed. Administrative Responsibilities: Provide a Manager’s report for each scheduled event. Provide a pre-bill to accounting for each event. Assist with end-of-month inventory and with ordering product and supplies through receiving department and vendors (e.g., service items, food and beverage). Ensure the department operates efficiently. Supervise the cleaning and sanitation of the banquet facility and rooms. Close the banquet facility and secure the building at the end of the day. Maintain appearance and upkeep of banquet facilities in coordination with maintenance. Contact vendors to repair or replace equipment. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise porters, servers, captains, and bartenders while actively participating in operations. Conduct interviews and hire porters, servers, captains, and bartenders. Provide employee performance reviews and handle disciplinary action. Train new employees; schedule work hours; motivate staff. Serve as Property Manager on Duty (MOD) on a rotational schedule. Requirements: Physical Demands: Lifting up to 50 pounds Bending and lifting Pushing and pulling large items Repetitive motions Standing and walking for 8+ hours. Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma 2 years Banquet/Conference Experience, or Restaurant Management Experience Experience reading Event Orders Experience with various types of functions, room setups, types of menus, and types of bars #J-18808-Ljbffr
