Paint Technician

This role focuses on preparing, painting, and finishing manufactured parts using industrial spray equipment in a production environment. The Paint Technician follows detailed work instructions to mix paints, apply coatings, cure parts, and inspect finished products to ensure high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend basic work instructions to understand job requirements and paint specifications.
• Mix paint compounds accurately according to established work instructions and formulas.
• Rack parts properly in preparation for painting processes to ensure full coverage and proper curing.
• Perform basic spraying techniques using spray guns to completely and evenly cover parts.
• Operate ovens and apply other drying and curing techniques, including monitoring curing temperatures.
• Remove parts from racks after the paint process and curing are complete.
• Visually inspect finished products for wet processing defects and overall quality.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment, spray guns, and paint booths after use to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area within the paint booth and surrounding production space.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with industrial painting processes.
• Proficiency using spray guns for paint application.
• Experience working in or around a paint booth environment.
• Ability to perform paint preparation, including mixing paint compounds and preparing parts for coating.

Hours

1st shift - 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday - Friday (30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)

Pay

$21/hr to $28/hr

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
