About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead the strategic planning, financing, and execution of the redevelopment and expansion of its affordable housing portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior executive leadership in all real estate development initiatives, with a focus on repositioning and modernizing aging public housing assets. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive redevelopment strategy, advising on opportunities, and managing relationships with developers, consultants, and various funding sources. The Vice President of Development will also be tasked with ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in affordable housing development, including at least 5 years in an executive or senior management role. The role requires extensive knowledge of affordable housing finance, real estate development, and HUD regulations, as well as a proven track record in leading large-scale redevelopment initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with a range of financing programs and be adept at project management, partnership development, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key skills include strategic leadership, financial analysis, negotiation, and a commitment to enhancing resident quality of life through transformational redevelopment.
