Role Description This full-time, on-site Licensed Massage Therapist role is based in Austin, TX. The Licensed Massage Therapist will provide professional bodywork services, including therapeutic massage and specialized modalities, tailored to client needs and preferences. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client intake, assessing areas of tension or stress, delivering massage sessions in a safe and comfortable manner, and maintaining accurate client records. The role also involves collaborating with front desk and spa staff, supporting overall guest experience, and educating clients on stress management, self-care, and wellness practices. Additional duties include maintaining treatment rooms, adhering to hygiene and safety standards, and upholding all professional and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage techniques, with the ability to tailor sessions to individual client needs.
• Experience or training in specialized modalities such as Shiatsu, with an understanding of holistic and integrative bodywork approaches.
• Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a client-centered approach to care.
• Knowledge of Stress Management practices and the ability to educate clients on relaxation and wellness strategies.
• Valid state license or certification as a Massage Therapist in Texas, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical practice at all times.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on client and spa needs.
• Physical ability to perform repeated massage sessions safely, including standing, bending, and applying sustained pressure.
• Prior experience in a spa, wellness center, or similar environment is preferred but not required.
