You'll represent one of the most respected names in Swiss machining while working alongside experienced service technicians and applications engineers. What you'll be doing Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Citizen-Cincom and Miyano CNC machines Travel to customer facilities for machine installations, repairs, and troubleshooting Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and CNC control issues Replace machine components including ball screws, servo motors, and cartridge spindles Read ladder diagrams and utilize machine diagnostics to identify problems quickly Align tooling and interface bar feed systems Repair spindle bearings and perform machine alignments Complete first-part runoffs following installations and major repairs Provide technical support over the phone when customers need assistance Work independently while representing Marubeni Citizen-Cincom at customer facilities Machines, controls & software Machines Citizen-Cincom Swiss CNC Lathes Miyano CNC Turning Centers Controls Fanuc Mitsubishi Ladder logic diagnostics Software Microsoft Office Inspection & Diagnostics CNC control diagnostics Ladder diagrams Machine geometry Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Shop highlights Work for the North American distributor of Citizen-Cincom and Miyano CNC machines Office-based when not traveling Travel to machine shops throughout the region Mix of field service, installations, troubleshooting, and customer support Highly independent role Work with advanced Swiss CNC technology Stable, well-established global company Materials you'll work with You’ll support customers machining a wide variety of materials, including: Aluminum Stainless Steel Tool Steel Titanium Inconel Brass Engineering plastics What we’re looking for Required CNC machine tool service, maintenance, or field service experience Strong mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting skills Ability to read ladder diagrams and utilize CNC control diagnostics Solid understanding of machine geometry and machining principles Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently Microsoft Office proficiency High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Preferred Swiss machining experience Experience with Citizen-Cincom equipment Experience with Miyano machines Previous OEM field service experience Why you’ll like working here Competitive hourly pay Variety—no two weeks are the same Work with advanced Swiss CNC technology Independence in the field with support from an experienced technical team Long-term career growth with a respected global machine tool company Pay, benefits & schedule Pay $33–$40/hour DOE Schedule Full-time Office-based in Elk Grove Village when not traveling Benefits Supplemental Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO)
