General Associate 2 - Warehouse Checker

Checker (General Associate 2)
Our cold storage warehouse is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Checker (General Associate 2) to join our team. This role builds on warehouse experience and takes on added responsibility for the accurate receiving and shipping of perishable products in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. This is a physically demanding job. This is a full-time position with overtime.
Schedule: M-F AM shift starting as early as 5:30 am.
Starting hourly rate: $22.25
- Free and close parking
- Learn to use pallet jacks and forklifts
- Potential salary increases after 90 days
- Successful candidates will be required to pass a post offer, pre-employment drug screen.
What you'll be doing:
While working in a cold environment (38-45 degrees), you will be:
- Using an RF scanner to receive inbound loads and scan product into our warehouse management system
- Taking product temperatures and verifying cold chain compliance upon receipt
- Reconciling product counts against bills of lading and flagging any discrepancies
- Inspecting incoming trailers, containers, and boxcars for product integrity and equipment condition
- Tagging and labeling product pallets with ID labels and entering information accurately into the warehouse system
You will also support all Warehouse Associate duties, including:
- Unloading and loading pallets from trailers and bobtails
- Hand-stacking of cases onto containers.
- Re-stacking pallets
- Transporting pallets in and out of freezers and coolers to the docks
