Human Resources Consultant

Are you an experienced HR professional who also happens to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting senior leadership? We’re looking for an HR Consultant / Executive HR Support professional to join a busy HR team in a unique dual-role position. This opportunity combines high-level executive support, HR administration, project coordination, internal communications, and compliance support . The ideal candidate will have a strong HR background but be equally comfortable serving as a trusted right hand to a Chief Human Resources Officer. This is a highly visible role where attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to learn quickly are critical. What You’ll Do Provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Chief Human Resources Officer, including calendar management, reports, presentations, correspondence, and special projects Serve as a key point of contact and “gatekeeper” for the CHRO, helping manage priorities, communications, and follow-up Support HR leadership with planning, tracking, and execution of department initiatives Assist with applicant screening and other HR administrative functions as needed Develop and coordinate internal HR communications and work closely with leadership and Communications teams Provide high-level clerical and administrative support to the HR department Help lead and coordinate an ongoing I-9 compliance/audit project , including reviewing records, identifying corrections, and communicating with employees to facilitate updates Work closely with IT on an important SharePoint project , helping develop and prepare an internal HR site for go-live Support data tracking, reporting, and analysis using advanced Excel Handle sensitive and confidential HR information with professionalism and discretion What We’re Looking For 4-6+ years of HR experience , preferably in a large, high-volume environment Strong executive administrative or senior-level support experience Advanced SharePoint knowledge - a SharePoint “super user” Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, and Visio Hands-on experience with I-9 processes and employment eligibility compliance Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies and follow processes carefully Project coordination experience and the ability to work independently Comfortable communicating with employees, leadership, IT, and cross-functional teams Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and technology Experience in a public sector or complex organizational environment is a plus Why This Role?
