Work Environment

This full-time position is based in our state-of-the-art hospital facility located in Yonkers, NY. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexible hours to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall functional abilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at bolstering their physical well-being and alleviating pain.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, effective exercise techniques, and home exercise programs that bolster recovery.
• Administer assistive modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, including tracking range of motion, strength gains, and overall functional improvements.
• Prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions, ensuring that equipment and supplies are organized and readily accessible.
• Engage collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide emotional support, encouragement, and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive therapeutic environment.
• Maintain adherence to professional and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting individual rights.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions directly related to physical therapy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication skills that enable strong rapport with patients and collaborative interactions with the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
