Inventory Accountant - Full-Time Engagement Professional

Robert Half’s Full-Time Engagement Professionals practice is hiring an experienced Inventory Accountant to join our Fort Worth team.This is a salaried W-2 position with Robert Half. As a Full-Time Engagement Professional, you will support one client engagement at a time while gaining experience across different companies, accounting systems and business environments. Engagements may include interim coverage, special projects, backlog cleanup, system implementations and other critical accounting initiatives.What You Will Do• Perform inventory accounting and account reconciliations• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation• Assist with month-end close activities• Analyze inventory movements, adjustments and variances• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger• Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes• Partner with operations, purchasing and finance teams• Assist with process improvements and documentation• Work within various ERP and accounting systems based on client needsWhat We Are Looking For• Two or more years of accounting experience• Hands-on inventory accounting experience• Strong general ledger and reconciliation skills• Experience preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions• Experience researching discrepancies and correcting accounting issues• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field preferred• Cost accounting or manufacturing experience is a plusWhat Makes FTEP Different• You are a salaried W-2 Robert Half employee• You support one client engagement at a time• You gain exposure to different companies, industries and systems• You build your accounting experience without repeatedly changing employers• You have the opportunity to contribute to both interim coverage and project-based work
