Location: Farmingdale, NY (Hybrid)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $64,000 - $78,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation Specialist to support the development, administration, and enhancement of compensation programs that align with organizational goals and competitive market practices. This role will partner closely with HR leadership, managers, and executive stakeholders to analyze compensation data, ensure compliance, support pay equity initiatives, and provide recommendations that drive fair and effective compensation strategies.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of compensation experience, advanced Excel and data analysis skills, and strong communication abilities to confidently collaborate with managers and present insights to leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs with a focus on pay equity, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of compensation programs, salary structures, and market trends.
• Collect and prepare data for salary surveys and monitor survey results to ensure compensation practices remain competitive.
• Review current compensation programs and provide recommendations based on market trends, business objectives, and organizational needs.
• Maintain and audit compensation-related data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and reliability across systems and reporting tools.
• Develop, compile, analyze, and present compensation-related reports and metrics to HR leadership and management teams.
• Support the design and administration of compensation programs, incentive plans, and other reward initiatives.
• Partner with recruiting teams on compensation analyses, offer recommendations, and market pricing activities.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with managers and leaders across the organization.
• Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local regulations impacting compensation practices, incentive programs, pay transparency requirements, and job descriptions.
• Ensure compensation programs remain compliant, efficient, and aligned with organizational strategy.
• Participate in HR initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of compensation experience.
• UKG pro experience - or similar HRIS experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to managers and leadership teams.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience working with large data sets and maintaining data accuracy.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting compensation, pay equity, or salary benchmarking initiatives.
• Knowledge of compensation surveys, market pricing, and compensation best practices.
• Experience working in a hybrid work environment.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and compensation reporting tools.
