You'll work with cross-functional teams to define customer needs, develop new features, and ensure designs meet specifications. Important responsibilities include CAD layouts, DFMEA, cost estimations, and solving mechanical field problems. You'll also collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers to increase the cost/value relationship of our designs.This position is located within Kingston, NY.Responsibilities:Main TasksWork in teams on the development of concepts, testing, investigation and verification of designsPay attention to the implementation of the function, cleaning aspects, reliability, safety, production technologies and cost priceTo build the maintenance and mechanical design of machinery, layouts, assemblies and components, to fulfill the design and requirements, to prepare assembly/detail drawings and part listsWork on the mechanical deliverables according to planMake sure that the work is carried out following Company guidelines (MEDS) and international standardsPart of the role can be to delegate tasks to engineering partnersSkills and AbilitiesKnowledge of relevant production technics, materials and componentsKnowledge of the food processing industry requirementsExperience with mechanics and industrial automationUnderstand the value of the reuse of others' ideas, standardization and modularizationWork with customers, vendors and co-workers in a courteous and tactful mannerYou will works well under time constraints and with possible production setbacksEnjoy learning and researchingAbility and interest in working with a multicultural company.Is a team player that enjoys working with people and deals well with feedbackQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Technology or comparable work experienceExperience with or knowledge of 3D design toolsExperience with and comfort working in multicultural, multi-discipline organization5+ years of experience in automatic, industrial food processing equipment or similar fields in product development is a.Proficiency in CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or similar.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through hands-on experience in design, testing, or troubleshooting.Experience with mechanical design principles and product development processes.Apply advanced mathematical concepts and engineering principles.Familiarity with lifecycle management of design data, including CAD models, drawings, and ECNs.Travel & LocationYou will be onsite/hybrid and travel up to 10-15% of the time.COMPENSATION RANGE: $75,000– $110,000 - Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
