The Accountant is responsible for performing a broad range of accounting and finance functions for Tesco. The role supports the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The position works closely with the Finance team and cross-functional business partners to maintain accurate financial information and support the company's overall financial operations.

What you'll do:

• Perform accounting functions as required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and company policy and procedures
• Enhance/develop/maintain aspects of project accounting from receipt of order to closing the project
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Provide support to the Tesco Finance team for budgets and financial reports to assist company leadership in understanding the business' performance
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting
• Assist with annual audits
• Maintain fixed asset tracking and reconciliations including monthly depreciation
• Provide indirect leadership and support to the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes
• Provide support to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function on an ad-hoc basis
• Assist with weekly job cost upload, ensuring accurate posting to general ledger
• Assist with ERP system maintenance/data integrity
• Identify and recommend process improvements
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 2–3 years of related accounting or finance experience preferred.
• Construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other project-based industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage ERP preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, project, and finance teams.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial and company information with a high level of confidentiality.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment and supporting cross-functional teams.

$70,000 - $100,000 a year Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person's qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future
