Qualified Behavior Modification Professional (QBMP)

Pay Range 110,000 - 120,000 annually. Key Responsibilities Oversee clinical functions of Community Crisis Home and/or Enhanced Behavior Support Home, monitor implementation and outcomes of Individual Behavior Support Plans. Demonstrate professional and person‑centered, trauma‑informed care in line with YAI culture and mission. Collaborate with the Clinical Director and staff to ensure all clinical needs of those supported are met. Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of IBSPs, using data to plan, implement, and assess effectiveness. Conduct direct and indirect behavior assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments. Complete and submit admission, weekly, and monthly clinical reports to the Regional Center per reporting guidelines. Consult with the Individual Behavior Support Team and leadership to streamline and provide top‑quality care, attending team meetings, contributing to the agenda, submitting QBMP hours, and coordinating appointments. Facilitate training and implementation of IBSPs for all support staff, providing ongoing education on data collection and documentation. Employ a range of empirically validated behavior analytic techniques for skill acquisition and generalization (e.g., prompting, reinforcement, preference assessment, task analysis). Conduct IOA/fidelity checks with program leadership to review progress and discuss concerns. Provide RBT supervision in accordance with BACB guidelines, evaluate staff skills, and conduct initial competency and recertification assessments. Perform documentation checks for IPPs and IBSPs to monitor quality and completeness, entering daily notes into the Digital Agency system in compliance with billing and regulatory guidelines. Attend conferences and trainings to expand knowledge, serving as a clinical resource for the assigned program and region. Maintain BACB certification (BCaBA/BCBA) and other required recertifications and training. Participate in on‑call weekend support for multiple residential programs on a rotational basis and provide coverage as needed for other programs. Participate in referral meetings for potential intakes, making recommendations and conducting off‑site assessments when requested. Comply with all federal, state, local, and other regulatory requirements, including HIPAA. Perform any other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Current, active Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing with the BACB. Minimum two (2) years of experience designing, supervising, and implementing behavior modification services. Authorization to provide supervision per BACB requirements or completion of an ACE 8‑hour supervisor training within 30 days of appointment. Professional certification or licensure in accordance with California regulations (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist). Valid driver’s license. Extensive knowledge of developmental disabilities and adults/children with significant behavior concerns (e.g., self‑injury, aggression, property destruction). Knowledge of clinical syndromes and familiarity with California’s Lanterman Act, Title17 and 22 regulations, and restraint use. Hold (or obtain through employer‑provided training) CPR/First Aid, Ukeru, and CPI certifications. Exceptional communication and training skills, strong teamwork and leadership abilities. Strong clinical skills, ability to conduct comprehensive assessments, analyze data, and interpret results. Highly organized and flexible, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Proficiency with computers and electronic systems (email, Workday, Digital Agency, BA, etc.). Ability to provide on‑call coverage after regular work hours and 24/7 weekend coverage for multiple residences on a rotating basis. Ability to travel regularly within the region for observations, assessments, and training. Ability to meet essential physical demands (walking, standing, lifting, using mechanical lifts, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Prior experience designing, supervising, and implementing behavior modification services in residential settings. Experience training, coaching, mentoring, and/or supervising RBTs.
