AP Specialist

Account Payable Specialist Under general supervision, this position is responsible for all accounts payable processing, data entry, and mail management. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service in a timely, professional manner to promote a positive interaction with internal and external customers, ensuring the highest quality of service. Open and sort incoming mail to ensure AP documents are processed promptly by the AP team. Prompt and accurate data entry of all invoices into the AP automation system for electronic routing. Prompt and accurate data entry for all manual AP entries into the company’s accounting system. Meet the month‑end close cycle in accounts payable to adhere to all periodic accounting deadlines. Perform online inquiries in the A/P system to access general information for vendors and field representatives, promoting excellent customer satisfaction. Assist with internal and external audits and self‑audits of all business functions to ensure established internal controls are followed and maintain compliance with company policies and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements. Education & Experience High School Diploma. 0‑2 years of relevant work experience. Skills & Abilities Good written and verbal communication skills. Team player. Attention to detail. Working knowledge of Word and Excel. Ability to work overtime as needed. Ability to work independently. Physical Demands Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Additional Requirements Occasional travel. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $43,624.00 – $65,433.00 (salary may vary based on experience, location, and education). Paid holidays and sick leave.
