Seeking a high-energy, audience-focused Messaging Specialist, the remote position will lead USA TODAY's email newsletter and messaging strategy, driving innovation and audience engagement while collaborating with newsroom teams to enhance discoverability and revenue opportunities. Key responsibilities Lead the email newsletter and messaging strategy, assessing portfolio performance and developing audience journeys Own flagship newsletter products, partnering with newsroom teams to boost audience growth and retention Monitor performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, and adapt platform strategies in real time during major events Required qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field 5+ years of experience in digital journalism or newsroom leadership, with mandatory journalism experience 3-5 years of experience in analytics, preferably content analytics Experience in curating newsletters and developing innovative messaging strategies Strong knowledge of the digital media landscape and audience engagement practices Virtual Vocations Inc
