Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist specializing in Echocardiography is sought for an assignment in Lakewood, Washington. The role involves performing echocardiography procedures in both outpatient and inpatient settings across multiple sites. The position requires technical expertise in various echocardiographic studies and offers a full-time schedule with rotating shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: Lakewood, Washington
• Schedule: 4/10s shifts, days with variable start times, 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) adult echocardiography, BLS certification, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Specialty Certifications: ARDMS RDCS (AE), CCI RCS
• Common types of imaging/studies performed & job duties: Echocardiography including transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), contrast, and bubble studies; average of 7 studies per day
• Additional Notes: Position includes both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with potential site shifts among four locations, approximately 20 minutes from a tertiary center. Sites utilize the same equipment and electronic medical record system. Department-specific equipment includes Philips Epiq 7 and iE33 machines.
• Shift & Scheduling: 4/10s, days with variable start times, 40 hours per week; call and holiday requirements; response to call within approximately 45 minutes for urgent scans.
• Certifications: ARDMS, BLS, CCI RCS, RDCS-AE
• Notes: No IV starts required; orientation provided; scrubs are provided; outpatient and inpatient service continuity depending on needs.
