Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr A nationally recognized law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Defense Attorney with 4+ years of experience representing public and private employers! We are currently seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and diligent Labor and Employment Defense Associate Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. As a vital member of our team, you will be at the forefront of labor and employment defense, providing top-tier legal counsel to both public and private employers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile cases, engage with a diverse range of clients, and make a significant impact in the field of labor and employment law. Responsibilities Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on issues related to labor and employment law, including but not limited to termination, discrimination, and internal investigations. Representing public and private employers in defense against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, and other employment-related disputes. Conducting thorough and objective internal investigations for clients facing potential legal issues. Developing and implementing strategic legal defenses for clients in labor and employment cases. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and procedures. Keeping abreast of current trends, developments, and changes in labor and employment law to ensure compliance and protect clients' interests. Collaborating with a team of legal professionals to deliver comprehensive legal services. Qualifications Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar. A minimum of 4+ years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on employer defense. Proven experience in representing public and private employers in labor and employment cases. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as experience in education law. Strong experience in managing internal investigations, terminations, and discrimination cases. Exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
