International Education, International Admissions/Photography & Multimedia - Federal Work Study Student Assistant

Under direct supervision of the Assistant Dean, Student Enrollment, Registration & Financial Services, this position supports the creation of visual content that highlights student experiences, campus events, and academic programs. This position will assist with photography, photo editing, video production, and digital asset management for marketing and communication initiatives. This position provides opportunities to build a professional portfolio while developing skills in visual media production, content creation, and storytelling.

Under Immediate Supervision, duties include but not limited to: Assist with capturing photos and videos at campus events, programs, and activities. Support photo and video editing for marketing, communications, and social media content. Assist with video production tasks, including filming, editing, and post-production. Organize and maintain digital media files, photo libraries, and other visual assets. Create visual content that highlights student experiences, academic programs, and campus life. Provide general support for multimedia and content creation projects as assigned Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental operations and outreach efforts.

Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative. Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate). International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate). Eligible to work in the United States. Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card.

- Detail-oriented, punctual, and reliable. - Maintain a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings. - Affinity for other cultures and languages is preferred. - Coursework in Photography, Design, Multimedia, Communication Studies, or a related field. - Experience operating digital cameras and basic photography equipment. - Familiarity with photo and video editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or similar applications. - Ability to capture and edit high-quality visual content for marketing and communications purposes. - Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work occasional campus events as needed.

Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour. The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.

Work status: Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal. Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am 5:00 pm). Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).
