KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Managing Director to join our Washington National Tax (WNT) - Federal Legislative and Regulatory Services (FLRS)practice.Responsibilities:Play a key role in advising businesses on the latest developments with respect to federal tax policy, legislative reforms and the regulatory rulemaking processContribute to thought leadership internally and externally through publishing and speaking activities, representing the firm in one-on-one client meetings, client speeches, road shows, and at events such as TEI, KPMG Tax Watch and KPMG PerspectivesCollaborate with colleagues across WNT, KPMG US and KPMG member firms worldwideSupport the development of WNT professionals at all levels by strengthening their experience, capabilities and institutional knowledgeQualifications:Minimum 10 years of recent experience in an audit, tax and/or advisory firm, professional services firm or think tank, coupled with experience with public sector agencies and corporations to include significant prior experience in tax policy, economic policy and legislative decision-makingBachelors degree from an accredited college/university and JD/LLM or licensed CPA or Enrolled AgentStrong commercial orientation, including the ability to identify market needs, support client relationships and translate policy expertise into business valueRelevant government experience is preferred; candidates will be screened for adherence to post-employment restrictionsExcellent communication, public speaking, research and writing skills with the ability to articulate complex policy matters clearly and credibly to varied audiences KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
